THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT OUR UMPIRES

Saturday Morning Netball Umpires 2018

Each week we require 48 umpires to service the games.
16 in each of the three rounds.

Where do they come from :
6  are Committee members,
16 are adults – many attached to teams,
1

male, 1 ex School Principal, a Grandmother, the rest either ex players,  or others who simply love netball and want to ensure the games occur.

6 teenagers no longer playing in this competition.
12 from the 7 Rovers’ teams.
4 from the 2 Magpies’ teams,
4  from the Milawa Demons’ 2 teams.
5 players for individual teams.
2 primary school team players.
Of the above, there are 6 mother and daughter (or 2 daughters) umpires.

A WONDERFUL GROUP WHO MAKE THE COMPETITION FUNCTION.

There are also friends from the Rovers and Magpies, O&M association  who help out, especially when contacted on Friday evening, when a listed umpire becomes unavailable.

Then there are the adults and young people who help at the Net, Set, Go, Tier 1 and Tier 2 games at 11 o’clock.

Umpiring is an important part of our Saturday morning netball competition.
Each week we require 48 umpires to run our competition

We could not operate our competition without our umpires.

PLEASE
acknowledge their wonderful contribution
and say thank you.

After all, no umpire, no match.
